How to Care for Your LESCA Glasses
LESCA frames are made to last. A few simple gestures are enough to keep them in perfect condition for many years.
Cellulose acetate frames
Adjustment — getting your glasses refitted
Acetate is sensitive to heat (it softens) and cold (it hardens). Have your glasses readjusted every 6 months at an optician — it's free and quick with their heating tool.
Salt and sun can dull acetate over time. A good optician can repolish it for a like-new result.
Screws and temples
Regularly tighten the hinge screws with the small screwdriver provided in your case. If your temples close on their own, it's a sign you need to act before losing a screw.
Lens cleaning
Always use the microfibre cloth provided. A regular cloth or t-shirt can scratch lens coatings.
For very greasy lenses, soak your glasses in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid, wipe gently and leave to air dry.
Titanium or horn frames
These premium materials require special care and adjustment. We recommend contacting your optician or a certified LESCA stockist near you for any adjustment or thorough cleaning.
Good daily habits
- Always store your glasses in their case when not wearing them.
- Avoid leaving them in a hot space (car in the sun, sauna) — heat warps the temples.
- Always set them down on both temples, never on a lens.
